Sourav Mukherjee
Founder & President 

Sourav is the founder of Netscribes and has been spearheading its strategy and business development activities since its inception in 2000. Set up as a classical start-up with just 5 employees, Netscribes has successfully raised three rounds of private equity capital and now ranks among the top research and market intelligence firms in India.

Sourav was formerly the Finance Editor of The Economic Times, the world's third largest business and financial daily, and part of India's largest media house—Bennett, Coleman & Co (owners of The Times of India Group and other major brands and properties). During his 10-year stint, Sourav drove finance and industry sector news, research coverage and strategic initiatives like building in-house databases, structuring and launching new products, and research initiatives. Sourav was also responsible for recruiting and training personnel, and managing large teams of writers, analysts and researchers. Prior to joining The Economic Times, he was involved in business reporting with The ABP Group of Publications—eastern India's largest publishing firm, and teaching English at graduate and post-graduate levels.

Sourav holds a postgraduate degree in English Literature with specialisation in medieval European classics, and is a National Educational Trust qualified university lecturer in English literature.


Ramanan Raghavendran
Co-founder and Managing Partner of Kubera Partners

Ramanan is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Kubera Partners, a private equity firm that invests in cross border businesses. Prior to founding Kubera, Ramanan led the cross border investing effort at TH Lee Putnam Ventures as a senior partner (and continues to oversee the THLPV portfolio). He was formerly a senior partner at Insight Venture Partners, where he invested in BPO and enterprise software companies, including cross border investing via ConnectCapital, an Insight affiliate. Prior to joining Insight, Ramanan was a senior member of the investment team at General Atlantic, where he initiated the Internet-related investment effort and also led sector efforts in technology services and enterprise software. Ramanan began his professional career at McKinsey & Company in New York and London.

He is the Chairman of the advisory board of Magic Bus (www.magicbusindia.org), a Mumbai-based charitable organization that uses innovative techniques to assist some of the most "at-risk" children in Mumbai. He is a member of the advisory board of the Center for the Advanced Study of India at the University of Pennsylvania, the only research institution in the United States dedicated to the study of contemporary India. Ramanan also co-founded Impact Partners, the first venture philanthropy entity in India.

He holds a B.S. in finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and a B.S.E. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania's Moore School of Engineering.


Tarun Pande

Prior to joining Kubera, Tarun was an Associate with A.T. Kearney at their Chicago office. Prior to joining A.T. Kearney, Tarun served as the Chief Financial Officer of ConnectCapital Holdings, a cross-border fund affiliated with Insight Venture Partners. At ConnectCapital, he assisted with the fund´s deal negotiation and structuring in regards to its investment activities, as well as the liquidity events involving ConnectCapital´s portfolio companies. Tarun began his professional career at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Tarun received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Mumbai. He is also a Chartered Accountant.


Paul Anthony
President Sales

Paul has over twenty years of general management/ sales/ marketing experience in a worldwide, regional and country capacity (sixteen years with Hewlett-Packard) in the IT industry. He has a track record of growing business profitably and turning around troubled businesses. Paul has extensive experience in channel management in the retail and corporate space. He has a solid track record of developing sustainable programs and sales forces to grow businesses in both the consumer and corporate segments. He has managed businesses in both developed and developing markets. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management.

Sameer Kanwar
Partner, Basil Partners

Sameer Kanwar has over 16 years experience in the IT Industry with a focus on Sales, Business Development and Marketing for IT Products & Services. He led the team at Powerdesk Technologies as the Global Director, Sales & Marketing and was responsible for conceptualizing and launching a patented IT product to reduce operational expenses of enterprises across the Power, Space and IT Security verticals. Prior to that, he worked with Ness Technologies and was responsible for Strategy & Business Development for the UK, Global Pre-sales & was also an offshore evangelist. Between 1998 and 2002, he was Head, Apar Consulting Solutions Division - Asia-Pacific, based out of Singapore. He has also served at Parametric Technologies as Regional Manager responsible for Sales & Business Development and with Wipro Infotech, as a Capital Market Specialist for promoting end-to-end solutions using Reuters & TIBCO products. He has a Masters in Management Studies and also has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computers), Bombay University.


Rajeev Srivastava
Director

Rajeev has twenty years of Global operating and investing experience in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He has a track record of incubating, building and managing global enterprises. He has been a venture capitalist and private equity investor from 2006. The current valuations of his investments are at approx 5 times the investments made. He founded Apar Holding Corp. in 1996 in Singapore and turned the company into a Global IT business. The investments made by Insight Capital Partners and Warburg Pincus in Apar have given them high return. Prior to Apar Holding Corp. he has worked with IGATE and TCS. He has been an investor and active board member in companies like Encora Group BVI, Apar Holding Corp, Cignex Technologies, Suvin Technologies. He has grown and guided couple of his companies through M&A and IPO's. He has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a MBA from Mumbai University.


Andrew Garvin
Vice President (USA), Netscribes

Andy is responsible for driving the US business development strategy for Netscribes, Inc.

Andy was the founder of FIND/SVP, Inc, a leading business intelligence, market research and advisory firm that later merged with Guideline, Inc, which was then acquired in 2007 by Infogroup, and then merged with Opinion Research Corporation. He retired as CEO of the company in 2004, but remained active in a consulting capacity until 2010.

Started by Mr. Garvin with just $12,000 in capital, FIND/SVP grew organically and by acquisition to be a $50 million publicly-held firm. It served the research needs of more than 1,000 retainer client organizations. The company is known for pioneering in the U.S. the concept of quick question-answering through telephone consultations with expert professionals and, later, via the Web. Operating now as ORC International, the firm remains a leading market research company.
Mr. Garvin has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Information Industry Association, and remains an active member of the American Management Association, and the American Marketing Association. From 1987 to 1996 he was a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and is now a member of the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO). He has been the moderator of his WPO “Forum” group for several years.

Mr. Garvin holds a B.A. in political science from Yale University and an MS. in journalism from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. He is a native of New York City, where he lives with his wife and two children.
