Business challenge

Our client, a US-based company that offers a cloud-based supply chain risk management platform to global organizations, wanted to test a revamped version of its web platform before the release. The platform provides information of over sixty thousand suppliers spread across 130 countries so ensuring an error-free experience for its customers was critical. It sought a cost-effective managed testing solution that could alleviate the heavylifting involved in transitioning to the new platform.

Solution

Netscribes provided a complete test solution, including the overall strategy planning and execution of the transition, assistance with the knowledge transfer, and managing the testing services on a daily basis. The testing was carried out in six phases:

• Phase 1:
  • A BRD or SRS is reviewed and the scope and deliverables/modules are scheduled with the help of backlogs
  • A master test plan (MTP) is drilled down
  • The product owner sets milestones
• Phase 2:
  • The development phase gets underway
  • The assurance/testing team (QA) starts building test cases
  • Detailed test plans (DTPs) are prepared for different modules
• Phase 3:
  • Development continues
  • The assurance/testing team (QA) begins work on initial tickets and submits defects
• Phase 4
  • The development team finalizes development and resolves bug tickets
  • The assurance/testing team (QA) undertakes integration and compatibility tests
  • The approved DTPs are published
• Phase 5
  • Development continues
  • The assurance/testing team (QA) begins work on initial tickets and submits defects

  • The development team resolves the UAT bug
  • The assurance/testing team (QA) verifies the bug’s status
  • The approved TORs are published
